Our home is located in Three Oaks, MI- just a few block stroll from downtown Three Oaks which has excellent shopping, restaurants, a wine bar, and The Journeyman Distillery. The Acorn and Vickers Theatre have live music and movies year round, and P&E Bottle Shop (the best wine shop in SW MI) is just down the street. Our home is 10 minutes to New Buffalo, Union Pier, Sawyer, Lake Michigan beaches, & several breweries and wineries.
The space
Our house had generously sized rooms, with 2 living rooms, a dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. We have 3 spacious bedrooms upstairs- 2 King beds and a Queen. This is a two-story home with all 3 bedrooms upstairs, the full bathroom with a walk-in shower upstairs, and the full bathroom with a tub on the main floor. A large screened porch spans the width of the front of the house to enjoy the sunset on upholstered rockers, or eat at the 8-person dining table. Our back deck has more dining space, a grill, Adirondack chairs, a firepit area, and a sunken hot tub.
Other things to note
We lovingly updated this 1930's Craftsman home, and as with all vintage homes there are quirks like a few squeaky floors, marble with patina, and low stairway clearances. We love these features and our home is as cozy and accommodating all year round. Watching the stars from the hot tub when it’s chilly, and the sunset from screen-porch rockers after the beach or a day of shopping and dining.
